Hi, I’m Julie Wiltshire, Head of Norfolk Children’s Advice and Duty Service (CADS), Norfolk’s Front Door for Children’s Services. I have worked for Norfolk County Council for 16 years, qualifying here in Norfolk. I have worked across Adult Social Services, Mental Health, Homeless and Mental Ill and Dementia Care and Children’s Services and proud to lead this new and innovative team.
We’ve transformed our Front Door arrangements to ensure the right pathway first time for our children and young people. With specialist training by Professor David Thorpe and his team using a coaching style, our social workers have the training and confidence to work even closer with families.
The new approach has been a great success, in fact Professional David Thorpe and team were very complimentary, commenting it was one of the most seamless implementations. I put this down to the excellent work of the CADS team.
We’re looking for more qualified social workers to be part of this innovative approach. If you have experience in domestic abuse, child exploitation and child protection, are a natural coach as well as being an expert Social Worker why not join us?
We’re based at County Hall in the historic city of Norwich.
